2026-01-27 Activity View:  There is now an activity view available in the Pics section. This view will show you the history of emotions, comments, and uploads to your feed. As this new view is sorted by time (most recent on top) it is a nice easy way to see what has been happening lately. How to: click "Activity" to the left of "Calendar" on the top of the Pics section.
2026-01-18 Is there an iPhone App?:

Yes and no ... here is how to make OurFamilyCircle.com available as an application on the iphone:
  • Open Safari and navigate to https:OurFamilyCircle.com
  • Click the "Share Icon"
  • Click the "More..."
  • Click "Add To Home Screen" (probably need to scroll down)

This will place an icon on the iPhone of the web app - and it works just like a native iphone app.
2026-01-15 Calendar View updates: OurFamilyCircle.com now checks the date & time for images and uses that date & time for placement on the "Calendar View". Some images have that information, some don't. If you'd like to update the date & time that a image or video was taken just click on the date value to override it.

Also, with the Calendar View - if there are multiple pictures for a given date the view will periodically update the images show for that date.

Tag management: The preferences page (right most top menu item with your name on it) has a new button to "Edit Tags". This lets you update the text of a tag or completely remove a tag. Please be careful - once you "save" there is no undo.
2026-01-09 Editing Comments: We've added the ability to edit your comments - just click on them and they will be editable. Alongside the editable text are buttons to conform, cancel, or delete the comment.

2025-12-11 Deleting Files: We've changed "how to" delete images - click on the image and the dialog now has a 'delete' button at the bottom. Videos is still the same (double click).
2025-12-05 New Name: We have a new name - https://OurFamilyCircle.com ! Please use that going forward. All accounts, pictures, and videos are on the new site so we anticipate you'll not notice much about the new name.
2025-11-22 Moving around: We have moved the Skylight button (and download button) to the dialog that shows when clicking an image. Clicking the image, while in list view, will make the image larger and there will be buttons (on the bottom) to download or share with Skylight.
2025-11-02 Skylight Integration: If you own a Skylight frame then sending images to it just got easier! A new "S" icon is beside the download button on each image - click on that to send the image to your Skylight account. The "S" will reappear after the image has been sent.
NOTEs:
  • Prior to first use please add your Skylight email in your account preferences (otherwise S icon won't be available).
  • Skylight will send you an email asking for approval to accept images (1st time only).
2025-10-02 SHARING!We have added an option to the sharing (aka permissions) - sharing to specific users! The new option in the "permissions" area is named "Specific..."; When clicked, a list of people to share with are shown just below the "Specific..." choice. You may choose one or more people to share the picture with and if "Specific..." is your only choice then they will only be the people to see it.

Here are a few uses for this new sharing feature:
Approved share:
  • When your kid want to approve a picture of their kids before it is shared with anyone ... only share the picture with your kid ... and "Allow Sharing".
  • If they want to show the picture to their friends and family then they can share it

Questionable share:
  • When the picture could be contraversal or just a questionable share then only share it when the people you think should approve it ... and "Allow Sharing"
  • If they want to share it then they can share it with their people.


Note: When clicking the share icon the default permissions of that re-share are none. This is intentional since we don't want the app to make any decisions for you.
2025-10-02 TAGS!We have added the ability to "tag" a picture (or video) with names, places, or any phrase you like. Tags are powerful and completely under your control - only you can see your tags.

Just above each picture is a "Tags" link that, when click, will allow you to specify which tags should be associated with the picture/video.

Once a tag is linked to a picture it shows as a little "pill" next to the "Tags" label.

FILTERS!We have added the ability to filter the pictures being shown based on your choice of "people" and "tags". At the very top of the "Pics" tab is a link labeled "Filters..." that, when clicked, will show the filter controls. These controls show the people and tags of the images that follow.

The "People" filter allows you to select pictures based on who uploaded them. This is an "OR" filter which means that any person selected will have their pictures shown.

The "Tags" filter allows you to select pictures based on the tags of that picture. This is an "AND" filter which means that each tag selected in the filter must be present on the picture for the picture to show.
